Wordy Wednesday!

This weeks Wordy Wednesday word is;

- To relieve or lessen something without curing it, to alleviate.
- To try to conceal the gravity of (an offense, an event) by excuses and apologies.

Palliate stems from the Late Latin palliātus meaning "cloaked, covered." It entered English in the 1400's.

Comment a short piece of prose, flash fiction, or even just a sentence, using this word. It would be great to see what you come up with!
